We are proud to present the completed community project from our Term 1 2019 Cumberland high school boys group. The group developed a website to help people from various language backgrounds to learn english. The website is written in multiple languages to help as many people as possible. The website provides links and directs users to helpful resources to assist with learning English.
The inspiration for the boys was to help people from refugee and asylum seeking backgrounds and to help assimilation into Australian lifestyle. This community project demonstrates consideration and thoughtfulness of the wider community including the international community, and comes from a place of personal nature from many of the students who have faced the challenge of learning English themselves.
Well done to all the boys, coaches and teachers who supported this unique and thoughtful community project.
